Last updated 24 August 2026 · Colla is pre-launch
The short version. If you join the waitlist we keep your email address, whatever you typed about where you train, and which ad brought you here. We use it once, to tell you when Colla opens near you. We do not sell it, and one email to us deletes it.
Colla is an early-stage project, not yet an incorporated company. Until a European entity is registered, the person responsible for this data is the project’s founder, reachable at hello@colla.eu. When the entity exists this page will name it.
We do not ask for your name, your phone number, your location, or anything about your health or training history. The site reads your device location only if you press “Find me” while posting a session, and only to move the map — the position is never sent to us and never stored.
So that the map opens on a city near you rather than on the whole continent, the page asks our server which country and approximate city your request came from. Vercel, which hosts the site, derives that from your IP address at the edge — the same address every website you visit receives. We do not ask the browser for your location, so no permission prompt appears, and we do not store, log or share the answer: it is used once, in your browser, to choose the starting view. Your timezone is the fallback if that fails. You can override the choice with the city buttons above the map.
When you post a session you choose one of three things, and the wording sits next to the choice as you make it:
You can move a session off the map at any time by cancelling it; it leaves the map immediately. Sessions and the people signed up to them are deleted automatically 60 days after they are created.
A signup is delivered as a message to a private Telegram chat used by the project, through a serverless function hosted by Vercel. Telegram receives the content of that message. Nothing is stored in a database on our side, and there is no mailing-list provider.
The site sets no cookies of its own. If advertising measurement is switched on, a Meta (Facebook) pixel would set one — and it only loads after you press Allow on the banner. Choosing No thanks means nothing loads, and the site behaves identically. Your answer is remembered in your own browser and never sent anywhere.
Two third parties do see your IP address simply because the page fetches files from them: Google Fonts for typefaces, and OpenStreetMap and CARTO for map tiles. That is a technical consequence of loading an image or a font, not tracking, and we plan to self-host both.
Until Colla opens in your city and we have written to you, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If the project is abandoned, the list is deleted and we will say so publicly.
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Write to hello@colla.eu and we will do it within thirty days — realistically the same day, since the list is small. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.
If this page changes materially before we launch, anyone already on the list gets told in the one email we send.
